Biggenden Show & Rodeo
by Renee Bock ·

If your family loves a country show with animals, rides, food stalls, and that friendly small-town buzz the Biggenden Show & Rodeo is one to pop in the calendar. It’s the sort of event where kids can spend the morning exploring the showgrounds, parents can enjoy a slower wander, coffee in hand, and everyone can regroup later for the main arena action. Biggenden always does these community days well, and it’s an easy excuse to plan a family outing that feels local, relaxed, and full of colour.
The Biggenden Show & Rodeo is happening on Saturday 16 May 2026 at the Biggenden Show Society. Gates open at 7am, with plenty to see and do throughout the day before the rodeo program kicks in. The main arena is set for a Bulls, Barrels & Broncs line-up, so if you’ve got older kids or teens who love rodeo action, there’s a lot to look forward to. Take your time with everything the Show has on offer the displays, competitions, stalls, and those little “only at the Show” finds that kids remember.
Days like this matter because they bring the whole community together in a simple, practical way. Country shows give kids a chance to see animals up close, learn a bit about agriculture and local life, and feel part of something bigger than the usual weekend routine. They also support local organisers, volunteers, and exhibitors who keep these events running year after year. Even if you only make it for a few hours, it’s a solid way to spend time together with plenty of fresh air, conversation starters, and shared moments that don’t cost the earth.
