Bundaberg Child Protection Week 2025 Events
Child Protection Week is a national event held from 7–13 September 2025. This year’s theme, “Every conversation matters: Shifting Conversation to Action,” reminds us that it’s not enough to talk about child safety — we need to act. Whether it’s building confidence in young people or providing safe creative spaces for kids, each event is an opportunity for our community to stand together and support children’s wellbeing.
Here’s what’s happening in Bundaberg so far:
✨ My Voice Matters – Youth Empowerment Workshop
🗓 Tuesdays, 26 August & 2 September 2025
⏰ 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
📍 School of Arts, 184 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg
💬 Free to attend – limited places, booking essential
Young people aged 12–25 are invited to a free workshop designed to build confidence in speaking up. Facilitated by Becky Spruce, this supportive space uses hands-on activities and open conversations to help young people understand their voice and how to use it. ✨ Rainbow Day – Under 5s Activity Morning
Held during Child Protection Week, Rainbow Day is a free and fun-filled morning for children under 5 and their families. Enjoy hands-on activities, mascots, a jumping castle, and a sausage sizzle while connecting with local services that support young families.

A fun and creative afternoon for children to explore their emotions using calming jars, emotional masks, and stress balls. These activities promote self-awareness, coping skills, and emotional wellbeing in a safe, playful environment.
