Bundaberg Family Carnival Returns to Alexandra Park West
There’s something about a carnival that brings out the kid in everyone. The lights, the music, the smell of fairy floss drifting through the air it’s a simple kind of fun that doesn’t need much explaining. This April, the Bundaberg Family Carnival rolls back into town, setting up at Alexandra Park West for an extended run over the school holidays.
For families looking for an easy evening outing, it’s the kind of event where you can wander through at your own pace, choose a few favourite rides, share some hot chips or a showbag, and let the kids soak up the atmosphere.
The Bundaberg Family Carnival runs from 2 April to 12 April 2026 at Alexandra Park West, 33 Quay Street, Bundaberg West. Session times are 5.30pm to 9.00pm daily (Brisbane time).
Entry to the carnival is free, with families only paying for rides, food and games. Unlimited ride passes are available for $45 per person, and individual ride tickets can also be purchased. There’ll be carnival food favourites, games and prizes, showbags and themed entertainment across selected nights.
Special offers and themed evenings are planned throughout the run, including Monday Mates Rates (buy one ride pass and get the second half price), a Wednesday deal where a parent rides free with each child armband purchased, and night markets on 4 and 11 April from 5.30pm to 9.00pm. Easter Bunny appearances are scheduled for 2, 3 and 4 April, along with additional themed entertainment across the event.
Beyond the rides and treats, events like this give families a chance to slow down and spend time together without a strict schedule. Older kids can enjoy a little independence choosing rides, while younger children experience the colour and excitement of a classic carnival setting.
