Families are invited to experience the thrill of BMX riding at the Bundy BMX Come and Try Morning on Saturday 17 January 2026. Hosted at the Bundaberg BMX Club’s impressive track on Airport Drive, this free community event gives riders aged 2 to 65 the chance to test out one of the region’s most accessible and exciting sports. Whether you're brand new to BMX or just curious about how it all works, the morning is designed as a safe, supportive introduction to the sport.

The Come and Try Morning allows participants to ride on the track, learn the basics, and meet the friendly members who make up Bundaberg’s BMX community. During school terms the club offers weekly practice sessions, coaching opportunities and regular race nights, making this event an ideal first step for anyone interested in joining. Riders will have guidance from knowledgeable volunteers and club members who can help with equipment, techniques and confidence on the track.
Bookings are required to ensure all participants are covered for insurance and safety through AusCycling’s free trial membership system. Once signed up, riders can simply check in on the day and enjoy a morning of fun and skill-building in a controlled environment.
Bundaberg BMX Club is known for being supportive, family-friendly and welcoming to riders of all ages and abilities. This Come and Try session is a great opportunity to see what the sport is all about and to explore whether BMX could become a regular activity for your family.
