Easter on the Farm at Terra Tribe

If your kids light up around animals, mud, gardens and anything they can do with their hands, this is a lovely school holiday option. Easter on the Farm at Terra Tribe Farm in Howard is running a series of small-group farm sessions across April, designed to be relaxed, practical and genuinely family-friendly. It’s the sort of experience where kids can slow down, connect with animals, and enjoy the simple excitement of “real farm stuff” like collecting eggs and helping out with farm chores.
Terra Tribe Farm has a program of different sessions to suit different ages and energy levels, and bookings are essential.
A Morning on the Farm (Family Fun) runs on:
- Saturday 4 April – 9:30am to 12pm
- Sunday 12 April – 9:30am to 12pm
These sessions are designed for families to enjoy the farm together, with time to meet animals, collect eggs and explore the gardens.
Young Farmers Day Camp (Kids 5–12) runs on:
- Wednesday 8 April – 9:00am to 3:00pm
- Thursday 16 April – 9:00am to 3:00pm
A full-day program for kids who want a deeper “young farmer” experience.
Little Farmers Playgroup (Ages 0–5) is on:
- Wednesday 15 April – 9:30am to 12:00pm
A gentler farm session for younger children and their parents/carers.
Homesteading Skills Workshop (Self-Sufficiency Skills) is on:
- Sunday 19 April – 10:00am to 1:00pm
A practical workshop for adults focused on building self-sufficiency skills.
Farm experiences like this give kids more than a fun day out. They learn where food comes from, how animals are cared for, and what it means to look after a place and living things. It’s also a confidence-builder kids get to try new tasks, ask questions, and feel capable in a real-world setting. For families, it’s quality time that feels grounded and shared, and the small-group approach helps keep things calm and personal rather than rushed or crowded.
