Get Set for Prep 2026 at Avoca State School
Avoca State School is excited to welcome families as preparations begin for the 2026 Prep year. To support children and parents with a smooth transition into school life, a series of Get Set for Prep events have been organised, along with an information session for families.
The Parent Information Session will be held on Thursday, 28 August 2025 at 5:00pm in the Prep classrooms. This is a great opportunity for parents to meet the staff, ask questions, and learn more about what to expect when their child begins Prep in 2026.
Families are also invited to attend the Get Set for Prep transition sessions held in the Prep classrooms from 9:00am to 10:00am on the following dates:
- Thursday, 4 September 2025
- Thursday, 18 September 2025
- Friday, 17 October 2025
- Wednesday, 29 October 2025
- Thursday, 13 November 2025
- Tuesday, 25 November 2025
These sessions are designed to familiarise children with the Prep environment and help them feel confident and comfortable before starting school. Families are welcome to attend as many sessions as they can.
