Come together with the local community to mark a major milestone — Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence Day — right here in Bundaberg!
Hosted by Ol Meri Wantok - Bundaberg Inc., this family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, 20 September 2025 at the Civic Centre, 190 Bourbong Street. From 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, the Civic Centre will come alive with cultural performances, traditional music, vibrant costumes, and mouthwatering food that showcases the richness of PNG’s heritage.
This special celebration is more than just an event — it’s an opportunity to connect with community, learn about PNG culture, and celebrate 50 years of independence. Guests will enjoy a full evening of entertainment, including music, dance, storytelling, and ceremonial highlights. Dinner, dessert, and drinks are included with every ticket.

- Infants/Children (0–6 yrs): Free
All tickets include dinner, dessert, and one soft drink or bottled water.
