Visitors can join zoo keepers as they share stories and insights about a range of animals throughout the zoo. The sessions highlight conservation, animal behaviour and behind-the-scenes care routines in a simple and accessible way for families. Whether it's reptiles, birds or the zoo’s more curious characters, each talk aims to encourage curiosity and build understanding of wildlife and the environment.
The program is designed to be easy for families to catch during a normal zoo visit, with talks scheduled across various days to give everyone an opportunity to experience them. Children can ask questions, learn fun facts and watch keepers interact with the animals, making it a great addition to a relaxed day out in Alexandra Park. With no bookings required and free entry, it’s an ideal school holiday activity for local families or those visiting the region.
