Wild Gully is bringing a full line-up of nature-inspired holiday programs to Bundaberg and surrounding parks this December and January. With sessions tailored for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children, families can choose from sensory play, bush adventures and hands-on nature workshops. Each program is designed to encourage creativity, confidence and connection to the natural world. Small group sizes ensure plenty of time for children to explore, play and learn in an outdoor setting guided by experienced Wild Gully facilitators.

The Christmas Sensory Play Pop-Up will be held at Queens Park on Monday 8 December for children aged 0 to 5 years. Families can choose between two sessions: 9am to 10.30am or 11.15am to 12.45pm. These sessions focus on festive sensory tubs, nature-themed setups, loose parts play and gentle exploration suitable for younger children. The Christmas edition is a chance for little ones to enjoy the outdoors while engaging in creativity and imaginative play. The cost is $21.50 per child, with sibling discounts available.
For children aged 5 and over, Wild Gully will run full-day summer adventures at Gorman Park on 19 December and 22 January. These sessions include nature crafting, bush exploration, problem-solving activities and hands-on learning that encourage independence and outdoor confidence. Queens Park will also host nature workshops on 12 and 20 January, offering real materials and real tools for children wanting a deeper nature play experience. Each workshop builds on creativity and practical skills through activities such as weaving, building, crafting and imaginative nature-based projects.
