The Grinch follows the journey of a moody, Christmas-hating recluse living inside a mountain cave with his dog, Max. With inventions and gadgets filling his home, he tries to avoid the Whos of Who-ville. Each year their celebrations get bigger, brighter and louder, disrupting the quiet life he prefers. When they announce plans to make Christmas three times bigger, he decides to put an end to the noise by stealing the entire holiday. Voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, the Grinch’s grumpy mission sits at the centre of a colourful and visually striking story.
Down in Who-ville, Cindy-Lou Who is planning her own Christmas Eve mission. Overflowing with holiday spirit, she hopes to surprise Santa so she can thank him for helping her busy single mother. As Christmas draws closer, her well-intentioned plan begins to overlap with the Grinch’s scheme. The film blends humour with warmth, showing how kindness and generosity can change even the grumpiest of hearts.
