Women Thriving: A Free 4-Part Wellness Series for Young Women

Women Thriving – a 4-part wellness series is a new initiative delivered in partnership with Wide Bay Kids, offering free wellbeing workshops for women.
Building on the success of community programs such as Cook Club and Help Happens Here, this series continues a shared commitment to supporting women’s wellbeing through accessible, practical education and community connection.
The Women Thriving series focuses on the relationship between nutrition, movement, and overall health, with an emphasis on realistic strategies that fit into everyday life. Rather than promoting perfection, the workshops encourage women to better understand their bodies, feel confident in their choices, and develop habits that support long-term wellbeing.
What the Series Covers
Delivered across four fortnightly workshops by experienced facilitators, the series will explore:
- How nutrition supports healthy hormones and skin
- Practical ways to prepare healthy meals in bulk
- Simple and effective methods for preserving healthy food
- Understanding the best pre- and post-workout foods to fuel the body
All workshops are free to women and are designed to be practical, engaging, and easy to apply at home.

In addition to the workshops, Women Thriving will include opportunities for gentle wellbeing activities such as yoga sessions and walking groups, supporting both physical health and social connection. These activities aim to create space for women to connect, move, and build supportive relationships within the community.
A Supportive and Inclusive Series
Women Thriving is a judgement-free series welcoming women at all stages of their wellbeing journey. Participants are encouraged to learn at their own pace, ask questions, and take away practical tools they can confidently use in their daily lives.
Delivered in partnership with Wide Bay Kids, and aligned with existing initiatives such as Cook Club and Help Happens Here, the Women Thriving wellness series aims to strengthen wellbeing, confidence, and connection for young women across the region.
