Youth Fest - Youth Week Fun in Hervey Bay
by Kathy Ballesteros ·

If you’ve got a teen who loves being out with friends (or a young person who’s keen to try new activities without the pressure of signing up for a whole program, Youth Fest is a great school holiday option. It’s a big, community-style event with plenty happening at once music, activities, stalls and food and it’s set right on the Hervey Bay foreshore. Even if you only drop in for an hour, it’s an easy way to get out of the house and feel part of Youth Week celebrations in the region.
Youth Fest is back on Monday 13 April 2026, running 11am to 3pm at Seafront Oval, near the All Abilities Park in Pialba. It’s hosted by Fraser Coast Regional Council and the event is free, with a focus on young people aged 12–25, though all ages are welcome. On the day, there’ll be live music, DJs, interactive activities and community stalls, plus plenty of “come and try” options including AFL, cricket, basketball, soccer and volleyball. There’s also a circus skills workshop, music instruments to try, and hands-on activities like rock painting, arts and crafts.
One of the big highlights is the PCYC Hervey Bay Colour Run. Registrations open at 12pm, look for the PCYC tent on Seafront Oval, and the colour run starts at 2pm.
