2025 Bundaberg Regional Council Events Calendar
A series of exciting community events are set to take place across the Bundaberg region in 2025, offering opportunities to come together and celebrate local traditions, food, and culture. Here’s a look at what’s on the calendar:
Anzac Day – Friday 25 April
Residents across the region will have the opportunity to pay their respects on Anzac Day, with services held to honour the service and sacrifice of past and present defence personnel. Communities will gather for dawn services, marches, and commemorative ceremonies.
Childers Festival – 24 to 27 July
Over four days, the historic town of Childers will be transformed into a lively entertainment hub. The festival’s popular market day returns on Sunday 27 July, closing the Bruce Highway to welcome more than 30,000 visitors. The program will include live music, headline acts, hundreds of market stalls, and a chance to experience the region’s rich heritage and vibrant culture.
Taste Festival Bundaberg– 5 to 14 September
Food lovers can look forward to a 10-day celebration of Bundaberg’s culinary scene at the Taste Festival Bundaberg. The program will feature farm-to-table experiences, celebrity chef demonstrations, local markets, and unique dining events that showcase the region’s renowned food bowl.
Christmas Festivities – Late November through December
As the year comes to an end, a variety of festive events will bring the community together to celebrate the holiday season. Details of the program will be released closer to the date, with plenty of activities planned to spread Christmas cheer across the region.
