2026 Rum City Vintage Machinery Club Rally & Tractor Trek
The 2026 Rum City Vintage Machinery Club Rally & Tractor Trek is bringing three days of vintage machinery, tractors, classic vehicles and working displays to the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct.
Hosted by Rum City Vintage Machinery Club Inc, the rally is a chance for families to see old machinery in action, explore local history and chat with people who help keep these machines running. It’s a great outing for kids who love tractors, engines, trucks and anything with wheels, as well as adults who enjoy mechanical history and country-style community events.
The event runs from Friday 7 August to Sunday 9 August 2026. Friday begins with a 50km Tractor Trek out to the Hosking Family Collection, starting at 8:30am. Saturday and Sunday are open to the public, with gates open 8am-4pm on Saturday and 8am-1pm on Sunday.
Families can expect a wide range of displays, including stationary engines, antique tractors, vintage cars and trucks, market stalls, a vintage tractor pull, working displays of heavy horses, blacksmithing, the Grand Parade and food vendors.
Events like this are a lovely way for children to see how things worked before modern technology became part of everyday life. They can watch machinery move, hear engines running, ask questions and learn from people who are passionate about preserving these skills. For parents and carers, it’s a relaxed day out with plenty to look at and talk about together.
Community rallies also help keep practical history alive. They support local clubs, volunteers, collectors, exhibitors and vendors, while giving families a low-cost outing close to home.
