Alexandra Park Zoo
Alexandra Park Zoo
Over the years of talking to parents many of them have often said to me that they don’t know how to engage with their little ones when they visit somewhere like a museum, art gallery, zoo etc, so this is a suggestion of some questions parents can ask as they move through the zoo.
What can you see?
Alexandra Park Zookeepers have shared some fun questions to ask your little monkeys on your next zoo visit.
Look – what can you see?
Colour – what colour is this animal?
Count – how many animals are there?
Smell – what can you smell?
Sound – lets listen to the animal sounds, can you make the sound?
Move – can you move like this animal?
Opposites – is this animal quiet or loud?
Compare – is this animal bigger or smaller than you?
Guess – why do you think the animal is doing that?
