ANZAC DAY SERVICES TO BE HELD ACROSS THE REGION 100 YEARS

This year marks the 100th anniversary of ANZAC Day and residents can gather at services throughout the region and remember and recognise those who have served and continue to serve our country.
Mayor Cr Mal Forman said April 25 was a special day where community members could show their respect and gratitude to Australia’s serving men and women.
“With so many observances planned throughout the region it is clear that our community has not forgotten the legacy of the ANZACs,” Cr Forman said.
“On the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing numbers at these commemorations within our region continue to grow as the memory of those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom live on in us.”
