Bundaberg Regions Be Active, Be Alive Program

Bundaberg Regions Be Active, Be Alive Program
The schedule for Bundaberg Regional Council’s popular fitness program Be Active, Be Alive has been released. The free eight-week program kicks off in parks, pools and open spaces throughout the region from February 1. I’m super excited to see that Stroller Fitness has been added to the free program this year! Great job Bundaberg Regional Council! Look for the code FFL to find our where the Stroller Fitness Class will take place in the guide below.
Sport, Recreation and Venues portfolio spokesperson Cr Lynne Forgan said the initiative, now in its fourth year, had been extremely popular in the past. “Be Active, Be Alive is all about promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging residents to take advantage of public facilities and parks,” Cr Forgan said.
I’m sure a number of residents have made health and fitness goals for 2016 and this program could be just the ticket to get them started
Professional fitness trainers will provide a range of activities including high intensity cardio, low impact, yoga, aerobics and aqua aerobics.
This year we will also be introducing Stroller Fitness classes which include cardio, circuit, resistance and strength training all with a bub and stroller in tow.
This program has been designed to appeal to a wide cross-section of the community and fitness trainers are able to incorporate various levels of intensity in to each session. Be Active, Be Alive has an easy to follow activity guide which includes activities like Fitness for Life, Pump your Heart and Mind and Body.
The program is now available at HERE to view oline or any Council Service Centre. Participation in all activities is free however pool fees do apply to aqua aerobics sessions.
