Easter in the Gardens Competition Terms and Conditions
Promotion Descriptions: ‘Play & Puzzle’ (“Game of skill”), ‘Golden Egg’ (‘Game of skill’) and ‘People’s Choice’ (‘Random Draw’) begins on 17/03/2024 at 5 AM (Brisbane) and ends on 14/04/2024 at 2PM (Brisbane) (the “Promotion Period”).
By participating in the Game of skill and Random draw each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Wide Bay Kids Team, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Wide Bay Kids is responsible for the collection, submission or processing of entries and the overall administration of the competitions. Entrants should look solely to Wide Bay Kids with any questions, comments or problems related to the game of skill and random draw.
Official Rules
- The competition is open to all people of all ages, except for employees of the Wide Bay Kids Easter in the Gardens organisers and their immediate family members.
- To enter the ‘Play & Puzzle’ competition, participants must complete the games and puzzles along the pathway and fill out the map provided by the organisers. The completed map must be placed in the entry box located at the 1928 Cafe at Bundaberg Botanic Gardens or submitted online via the official website.
- To enter the ‘Golden Egg’ competition, participants must be the first person to find the Golden Egg and take it to the Wide Bay Kids staff on Friday, 12th April 2024.
- To enter the ‘People’s Choice’ competition, participants must complete the online survey on the official website and choose one egg to vote for.
- Only one entry per person, per competition, is allowed during the promotion period March 17 – April 14, 2024, and any duplicate or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.
- The competition will run for several weeks, with winners being selected each week at random from all eligible entries received during that week.
- The winners will be notified via the contact information provided on their entry form, and they will have seven (7) days to claim their prize. Failure to claim the prize within this time frame may result in the prize being forfeited, and another winner may be selected.
- The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
- Wide Bay Kids Easter in the Gardens reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice.
- By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the decisions of the organisers, which are final and binding.
- The personal information collected from participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and will be treated in accordance with the privacy policy.
- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes arising from or related to the competition will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
Eligibility: Open to legal residents of Australia and all ages. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Sponsor and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and each of their respective officers, directors and employees (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), and members of their immediate families and/or persons living in the same household as such persons, are ineligible to enter the competition or win a prize.
Winners Selection: The winners of the Game of Skill will be selected based on the answers given to the questions on the form from among all eligible Entries received throughout the Promotion Period. The selection will be conducted within 48 hours by Wide Bay Kids or its designated representative, whose decisions are final. Winners will be notified by email via the email address provided in the entry information. Potential winner must accept the prize by email as directed by Wide Bay Kids within 48 hours of notification. Any winner notification not responded to or returned as undeliverable may result in prize forfeiture and re-drawn. The potential prize winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability, and a Publicity Release (collectively “the Prize Claim Documents”). No substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted except by Wide Bay Kids.
Prizes: ‘Play & Puzzle’ (“Game of skill”), FOUR (4) winners will receive an Easter Gift Pack. ‘Golden Egg’ (‘Game of skill’), ONE (1) winner will receive A Day in the Gardens Prize Pack. ‘People’s Choice’ (‘Random Draw’), ONE (1) winner will receive an Easter Gift Pack. Postage is not included in the prize. Prize cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted by winner. The Retail Value of Easter Packs are $15, A Day in the Gardens Prize Pack is $TBD and in good faith, this is final and binding and cannot be appealed. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Wide Bay Kids will not replace any lost or stolen prize items and no warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of the prize will be entered into. Prize will only be awarded and delivered to addresses within Bundaberg, Australia. All federal, state and local taxes, fees, and surcharges if any are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Failure to comply with the Official Rules will result in forfeiture of the prize.
Online Entry: Enter during the Promotion Period online by completing the entry form and perform the tasks provided.
Automated or robotic Entries submitted by individuals or organisations will be disqualified. Internet entry must be made by the entrant. Any attempt by an entrant to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins or any other methods, including, but not limited to, commercial contest/sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering services, will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Final eligibility for the award of any prize is subject to eligibility verification as set forth below. All entries must be posted by the end of the promotion period in order to participate. Wide Bay Kids database clock will be the official time keeper for this Sweepstakes.
Privacy: All entrants acknowledge that if they are chosen as a winner, certain identifying information may be disclosed to third parties at least as required by law, including, without limitation, on a winner’s list. All personal information submitted as part of the Sweepstakes will not be shared by Wide Bay Kids. All entries will receive automatic subscription to Wide Bay Kids VIP mail list to gain access to exclusive content and giveaways at Wide Bay Kids. You can unsubscribe from this list at anytime after the ‘promotion period’. You can unlike any of the pages listed on the entry at anytime after the ‘promotion period’ and still have a valid entry into giveaway.

If, for any reason, the Competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Wide Bay Kids which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, then Wide Bay Kids reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition. In such event, Wide Bay Kids may, in its sole discretion, perform the random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to or after such cancellation, suspension, or modification. In the event of a dispute concerning who registered online to participate in the Competition, the registration will be declared to have been made by the authorised account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organisation (e.g., business, education institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A potential winner may be requested to provide Wide Bay Kids with proof that the potential winner is the authorised account holder of the email address. If a dispute cannot be resolved to Wide Bay Kids satisfaction, the entry will be deemed ineligible.
