Fraser Coast Libraries Regular Sessions
The Fraser Coast Libraries Regular Sessions are held across all Libraries at Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Tiaro, Howard and Burrum Heads.
Storytime Sessions
2 to 5 years
Storytime is a popular program of stories, songs and craft activities for children aged 2 to 5 years.
Sessions are held at:
- Hervey Bay Library on Tuesdays at 9.15am, 10.15am and 11.15am (excluding school holidays) as well as Saturdays at 10.30am (continuing during holidays).
- Maryborough Library on Wednesdays at 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am (excluding school holidays) as well as Saturdays at 10.30am (continuing during holidays).
- Tiaro Library on the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 10.30am (excluding school holidays).
- Howard Library on the first and third Thursday of the month at 2pm (excluding school holidays).
- Burrum Heads on the first and third Thursday of the month at 10am (excluding school holidays).
Rattle & Rhyme Sessions
birth - 2 years
This is a family literacy program designed to encourage special interactions between you and your little one, under 2 years of age. Join us for a fun interactive 20 minute session full of stories, rhymes and finger plays. Learn those old traditional songs and some new ones too.
Hervey Bay Library
Tuesdays - 9:30am, 10:30am and 11:30am
Thursdays - 9:30am, 10:30am and 11:30am
Maryborough Library
Wednesdays - 9:30am and 10:30am

Toddler Time Sessions
18 months - 3 years
Hervey Bay Library Toddler Time is program is designed for children aged 18 months to 3 years. These sessions aim to introduce language through action songs, rhymes, stories and sensory activities.
Sessions are held Mondays during school term at 10am & 11am.

Ozobots Courses
Ozobots courses are held at various times during the year. Check back soon for details on when the next ozobots class starts.
Colouring Carlm
Colouring isn't just for kids anymore! It's a relaxing, stress-relieving and fun way to spend an hour or two.
Tiaro Library will provide the coloring sheets and colours, (but do feel free to bring your own) to the these adult colouring sessions. Bookings are required.
Tiaro - 2nd Friday of the month-10am
Book Chat
Join Library Staff for a cuppa and chat about new books, good reads and lots more. No bookings are required and everyone is welcome.
Held the last Wednesday of the month at 10am (Hervey Bay Library), the last Friday of the month at 10:30am (Maryborough Library) and the last Tuesday of the month at 9.30am (Tiaro Library).
Lunch Time Wildlife Talks
The Hervey Bay Library and the Fraser Coast Branch of the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland have partnered to present talks on topics of interest by local wildlife enthusiasts at 12 noon on the 3rd Friday of the month (excluding January and December). Bookings are required as space is limited.
Chess and other Board Games
Chess sessions are held every Saturday from 9am to 12 noon at the Hervey Bay Library.
Games, including chess, scrabble, upwords and backgammon are played every Thursday at 1pm at the Maryborough Libray.
All are welcome to join in.
