Happy Hearts of Bundaberg
Spreading joy with happy hearts
When my Aunt Dell Reilly shared an idea with us for spreading joy and happiness in the Bundaberg community we knew we wanted to help her.
Dell found the idea online - sewing hearts and leaving them in random places for people to find. I Found A Quilted Heart began in 2014 in Nevada USA. "A beautiful little heart started a whole new purpose us; blessing others with the same simple act of kindness" Founders said.
With our Aunt Dell and mum Pam on the sewing machines together they have created over 100 hearts, all out of scrap and repurposed material. They've put a little Aussie Spin on the hearts and we've called them Happy Hearts of Bundaberg.
There are no rules with making, giving, gifting or receiving hearts. You can do what you wish with them. The idea is that they give joy and happiness to those that make them, receive or find them. You can keep it or you can pass it on, or even re-hide it.
