Have you written your Will?
Have you written your Will?
IWC is an organisation that cares. Their motto is “where communities matter” because that’s what they truly believe. Communities matter, and the diverse range of people that live in the communities that make up this great region matter.
That’s why IWC offers a wide range of health and wellbeing services to continue our journey toward transforming the health and wellbeing of communities. But we know that your health is so much more than just checking in with a doctor, being active and eating well.
We’re proud to say that we have partnered with Australia’s leading online Will Writing platform, Safewill, to offer free Wills (worth $160) to people in our community. Astoundingly, research has shown that approximately half of Australians do not have a Will. There are many reasons for this, including the fear of thinking about death, concerns about the cost of creating a Will, the misconception that Wills are only for wealthy people, or they just don’t know where to start. After all, Will writing isn’t something that we talk about every day.
Wills aren’t just for the elderly or the wealthy. They’re an important part of your financial wellbeing. What will happen to your assets, most precious items and debts? Will your funeral be what you would have wanted? Not having a Will leads to a great deal of stress and additional emotional turmoil for your loved ones. And if you have children, a Will ensures that there is a plan in place for what happens to them, should you pass sooner than you expect.
Having a Will in place allows you to name a legal guardian if your children are left without their parents. Naming a legal guardian allows you to consider whom you would want to be raising your kids if you couldn’t. You’re ensuring that the person or people raising your children would share your parenting style, beliefs and values.
That’s why Safewill’s platform is so important. It’s an accessible, online Will writing platform that allows anyone access to write their Will at an affordable cost. The process is simple. Follow the prompts, submit when done, and their partner law firm will review it to ensure it has been filled out correctly. When it’s approved, print it off, sign it in the presence of two witnesses, and store it somewhere safe - you’re all done!
In addition, and thanks to our partnership with Safewill, IWC is offering a free Will for the first 125 supporters who submit a Will using the link below. Simply follow the below link to redeem this offer.
