Maryborough celebrates its connection to Mary Poppins.
It is the birthplace of Mary Poppins author P. L Travers whose beloved novels were brilliantly adapted for the popular Disney movie of the same name and the award-winning musical.
The annual Mary Poppins Festival celebrates the magical tale of Mary Poppins and its connection to the wonder of storytelling and the success of her creator.
2023 is the fifteenth year of Mary Poppins festival. In these years, the festival has more than doubled in size with the audience reaching more than 5,500 people in 2015.
Parking
Parking available in surrounding streets, any parking regulations on side roads will still apply. Nearby free car parks include McDowell, Alan & June, Federal, Negus, HJ Davies & Leslie Jones carparks all within 10-minute walk to main entry gates.
