Mem Fox to visit Bundaberg

Mem Fox to visit Bundaberg
We are so excited to announce that Children’s Author Mem Fox will visit Bundaberg on the 10th February next year. Whilst here Mem will present a children’s session at the Bundaberg Library and an Educators workshop.
Ms Fox is travelling to Bundaberg to support an exciting community project named One Book One Bundy. This project was initiated by the Bundaberg Family and Baby Network in collaboration with the Bundaberg Library First Five Forever Project.
One Book One Bundy aims to promote early language and literacy across a full year through the use of Mem’s book Hattie and the Fox. This project seeks to engage the community in group and individual activities encouraging everyone to participate whether at home, school, or in care. People can participate by:-
- Reading Hattie and the Fox with their children
- Borrowing Hattie Resource Kits from the Bundaberg Library (available soon), which will include a copy of the book, hand puppets, dress up costumes and a whole lot of interesting activities!
- Create art activities with their children using the themes from the book (farm scenes, animal collages etc)
- Upload images and videos of your Hattie activities to social media and #onebookonebundy so we can all see the activities children and families are enjoying
One Book One Bundy will launch Friday 20th October at the Hattie and the Fox Show at Bundaberg Library. To keep up to date and find out more information in the new year about how to register for Mem’s session and workshop please like our Facebook page or sign up to our VIP newsletter.
