Mon Repos Spring School Holiday Activities 2024
Mon Repos has a lot to offer so consider extending your visit at Mon Repos Turtle Centre and venture into Turtle Tales to learn more about marine turtles! Explore the biology of marine turtles in a self-guided immersive experience. Through interpretive displays, observe migration routes via satellite tracking data, learn about turtle research and discover what threats turtles face. In the theatre, learn more about Mon Repos and follow the life of a turtle.

Junior Rangers

👶 - 6-8 years old
These school holidays, children can join Rangers and explore Mon Repos Conservation Park. Participants will discover what wildlife calls the park home and complete a survey along the way. How many species can be identified? The program also includes learning all about marine turtles and becoming turtle researchers. There will be time to explore Turtle Tales and find out what threats marine turtles face.
Admission to Turtle Tales is included in the child's ticket (valid for the day of activity only).
Parents/carers are asked to arrive with their child 10 minutes prior to the activity for check-in at the Turtle Centre. While children are in the program, the Milbi cafe will be open for parents/carers to enjoy a coffee or morning tea, or take a stroll on the beach or Turtle Trail.
Please note that a minimum number of bookings is required for this event to proceed. If the minimum has not been reached by 9:30 AM the day before the event, it may be cancelled, and those who booked will be contacted for a refund.
What to Bring:
- Ensure sun safety by applying sunscreen prior to the activity.
- Bring a hat, reusable water bottle, and wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Pack a snack for morning tea.
- Check the weather forecast and bring a rain jacket if rain is predicted.
Booking Conditions:
- Bookings for this event are essential as spaces are limited.
- This program is for children aged 6-8 years.
- A registration form must be completed by a parent or guardian upon arrival.
- No need to print the ticket, as the online booking will be on the visitor list.
- The activity will continue if rain is forecast; however, it may be canceled or altered at short notice if storms, lightning, strong winds, or other hazardous conditions are forecast. If this occurs, contact will be made by phone or email, and a refund will be provided.

Turtle Tracks and Tales guided walk

The Rangers at Mon Repos Turtle Centre invite visitors to enjoy the conservation park and all it has to offer! Participate in a guided "Turtle Tracks and Tales" walk, where you can learn about turtle conservation and research at Mon Repos and discover what happens on the beach during Turtle Season.
The walk lasts approximately 45 minutes. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the walk for check-in at the Turtle Centre.
After the walk, extend your visit by exploring Turtle Tales at Mon Repos Turtle Centre. This self-guided immersive experience delves into the biology of marine turtles through interpretive displays, satellite tracking data on migration routes, and insights into the threats turtles face. In the theatre, learn more about Mon Repos and follow the life of a turtle.
