Clean-up for our Waterways and Reef
Bundaberg Regional Council is a Reef Guardian Council. One of the ways they are helping the reef is through a Waterways Rubbish Removal Program which aims to reduce land-based run-off. You can help out by participating in this community clean-up. You will be removing rubbish at a problem source site, preventing it entering waterways and ending up as marine debris which is harmful to the reef and all the incredible marine life it supports. Please wear closed in shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Bring plenty of water in your reusable water bottle and gardening gloves if you have them. A limited amount of water for re-fills and gloves will be available on the day.
