Next Level Youth Jam – Thursday 17 July 2025
Next Level Youth Jam is back at the Bundaberg Civic Centre on Thursday 17 July 2025 from 6pm to 9pm. Open to young people aged 9 to 18, this free event gives local youth a chance to get on stage, meet other musicians, and play live in a welcoming and supportive space.

Location: Bundaberg Civic Centre
Whether you’re already gigging or just starting out, everyone is welcome. You can bring your own instrument or use the ones provided including drums, electric and acoustic guitars, bass, amps and keyboard. A professional house band is on hand to help, and there’s a Jam Book with updated chord charts and lyrics to keep things flowing.
If you’re not sure you’re ready to join in, that’s okay too, come along and check it out. These events are just as much about watching and learning as they are about performing.
The Civic Centre will be set up with a full professional sound system and stage, so it’s a great chance to experience what it’s like to play in a real gig setting. Food and drinks will be available, with a sausage sizzle and soft drinks on offer for a gold coin donation. You can also bring your own snacks and water if you prefer.
There’s also a quiet support space available with youth chaplains and mental health workers on site in case anyone needs a break or a chat.
These jam nights are designed to build skills, confidence and community – and for standout performers, there’s even the chance to get offered paid gigs at public events down the track.
