What to Expect
Participants can bring their own instruments, but for those without, there’s no need to worry – the event provides professional equipment, including drum kits, bass guitars, electric and acoustic guitars, and a digital piano. A professional house band will be available to guide performers, ensuring everyone feels confident on stage.
For those looking for inspiration, a Jam Book filled with chord charts and lyrics will be available. The book is updated regularly, offering fresh material for each event. In addition to the music, a discreet support circle, featuring chaplains and mental health professionals, will be on-site to provide emotional support if needed.
A Safe and Supportive Space
The Next Level Youth Jams are committed to fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere. The events are strictly substance-free, with no alcohol, drugs, smoking, or vaping permitted. Bullying of any kind is also prohibited, ensuring all participants feel safe and supported.
Food and drinks will be available on-site, with a sausage sizzle and drinks offered for a gold coin donation. Alternatively, attendees can bring their own food and refreshments.
Beyond the Jams
The program is about more than just the music. It’s an opportunity for young artists to build confidence, develop their skills, and explore potential pathways in the industry. For standout performers, there’s even the chance to secure paid gigs at public venues, taking their music to new audiences.
