One Book One Bundy Project
One Book One Bundy Project
One Book One Bundy project is an exciting community engagement project initiated by the Bundaberg Family and Baby Network in collaboration with the Bundaberg Library First Five Forever Project and the broader community of Bundaberg.
This project promotes early language and literacy across an entire year using the same book. The focus is to raise broad awareness of the importance of early language and literacy development and building relationships between parents and children around literacy.
One Book One Bundy has become entrenched in the Bundaberg community with schools, kindergartens, day care centres and playgroups all embracing the project.
The program launched during Book Week in 2015 with the focus book – Hattie and the Fox by Mem Fox and since then we have enjoyed two more focus books – Who Sank the Boat? by Pamela Allen and I’m a Dirty Dinosaur, by Janeen Brien.
