Outdoor Movie Night at Anzac Park

Outdoor Movie Night at Anzac Park
Featuring Despicable Me 2
Grab the family a warm picnic blanket and head down to Anzac Park for an outdoor movie event under the stars on Thursday July 23. As part of the Riverside Master Plan consultation, Bundaberg Regional Council is partnering with the combined Rotary Clubs of Bundaberg to run an outdoor movie night, showing Despicable Me 2, to promote the use of the park for temporary activities.
The whole concept of running a movie in the park is to create an interesting and interactive community-based activity that will get people out of their homes to spend time with family and friends.
The sheer size and uniqueness of the outdoor movie (open air cinema) concept will hopefully draw people to the Riverside’s green space and provide a practical demonstration of the many uses for the precinct.
By using the Riverside precinct in this way it creates the potential to breathe new life into the space and allow the community, visitors and businesses to begin to engage with the Riverside in a different way. We hope to see the park full of families
The Councils proposed Riverside Master Plan will be on display at the event and Officers will be in attendance to answers questions about the plan. Council hopes families will take this opportunity to provide feedback on the plan.
Food will be available from 5pm and the movie will start at 6pm. The combined Rotary Club will manage a sausage sizzle and associated refreshments for sale.
“We hope the people of Bundaberg and surrounds will come along and support this movie night, find out a little more about the Riverside Master Plan and the Combined Rotary Clubs of Bundaberg who do amazing work for our local community.”
