No Cook Playdough Recipe
No Cook Playdough Recipe
Here is my all time favourite no cook playdough recipe. Play dough gets made nearly every week at our house. The kids love creating and making and I also make it for our Wide Bay Kids Playgroup.
By offering items for your child to use with the play dough, the activities quickly become a valuable learning experience.
Offer items such as:-
- pom poms
- glitter
- playdough printable mats
- animal figures
- cutting shapes
- goggle eyes
- pipe cleaners
- buttons
- essential oils
- coloured sand
Playing with playdough encourages creativity and vocabulary while honing in skills such as:
- counting and number sequencing
- number recognition
- pattern making
- reading
- writing
- letter recognition
- fine motor
- hand eye coordination
- concentration
- left to right sequencing
What you need:
- 2 cups plain flour
- 4 tbs McKenzie's Cream of Tartar
- 1 cup salt
- 2 cups boiled water
- 2 tbs cooking oil
- colouring
What you do:
- Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add the oil and mix well.
