Redcliffe KiteFest Returns in 2026

Get ready for colourful skies and family fun when Vietjet Redcliffe KiteFest returns to Pelican Park this September during the Spring School Holidays. The festival is back with a fresh format focused on the magic of kite flying, with free entry for everyone.
Across two days, visitors can watch spectacular kite displays from some of the world's best kite flyers, including giant inflatable kites and artistic creations flying above the foreshore. Families can bring a picnic rug and enjoy food trucks, a public kite flying zone, kids' kite-making workshops and plenty of open space to relax and play.
The festival also celebrates Vietnamese kite culture and the connection between Brisbane and Vietnam, with naming rights support from Vietjet.
