Non-contact Rugby classes for kids ages 2 – 7 years in Bundaberg and Hervey Bay!

Rugbytots has been designed to develop your child’s physical, psychological and social attributes using rugby specific skills such as running with the ball, kicking, finding space, catching, scoring a try etc. All Rugbytots lead coaches are certified first aiders, ARU qualified rugby coaches, hold blue cards and trained to a very high standard to ensure your children enjoy their time at Rugbytots in a safe and organised environment. Toddler Rugby Classes (2 – 3.5 years)

The age 2 – 3.5 years class encourages children to use core skills like balance, agility and co-ordination.  It is also important that children of this age begin to develop social skills, and we promote these by encouraging Rugbytots to share, take turns and work together to complete certain activities.  Multi-coloured foam balls and cones are used in this class to ensure the children’s safety at all time.  The 30 minute parent participated session includes passing, catching, try scoring, cone kicks, and games involving giant rugby balls.

Pre-school and Kindy Rugby Classes (3.5 – 7 years)

The age 3.5 – 5 and 5 – 7 years has been developed to build on the basic motor skills learnt and start looking at the more specific skills used in Rugby.  They have specifically designed games and tasks to teach children to find space, pass the rugby ball backwards, score a ‘’well worked’’ try and much more. Midi size rugby balls are used for this class so the children can get used to the weight and feel of a proper ball.  The senior Rugbytots class last for 45 minutes and whilst parent’s involvement is more than welcome, it is not essential.
