School Holiday Train Rides at the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens
The Australian Sugar Cane Railway will continue to run train rides during the school holidays at the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens. The Australian Sugar Cane Railway takes you on a 2km circuit through the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens and is disability friendly and wheelchair accessible.
The journey takes you across several bridges and ponds, through the heart of our locomotive workshop, past the Friendship Grove, around the Woodworkers Guild forest, past the Chinese gardens and other attractions such as Café 1928, Hinkler House, Hinkler Hall of Aviation, the Rare Fruit Orchard and Australian Rainforest, Fairymead House and the Bundaberg Historical Museum.
During School Holidays the train will run:
- Sundays
- Tuesdays
- Wednesdays
- Fridays
- Public Holidays
The train will run from 9am to 3pm. No Bookings necessary. Tickets are available for purchase from the ticket window at the station platform.
Ride Costs
Adults $6
School aged children $2.50 (under 5’s free)
Family $15 (2 adults and 2 or more school age children)
Tickets are available by CASH or EFTPOS at the station on running days.
