Terra Tribe Farm! Day Tours, Forest School and School Holiday Programs
Kids head outdoors, swap screens for survival skills, at Terra Tribe Farm located at Howard, near Bundaberg. Terra Tribe Farm is teaching kids about permaculture, nature and sustainability at its outdoor programs. The farm, is set on 12.5 acres on the Burrum River. The Terra Tribe Farm programs give kids an opportunity to learn while having fun. Terra Tribe Farm students are learning how to build bows, arrows, rafts and shelters, as well as learning survival skills, kids are being taught how to live sustainably.
The school holiday and forest kindy programs — are a nature connection program where kids can be outside and have child-led play while learning survival skills. The farm has pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and geese. Kids use natural materials sourced from the farm – wood, hammer and nails and they can be creative and unstructured to build what ever they want. They can climb trees, and take risks, they can play in the dam, light fires, tie knots and catch tadpoles, they get to do all the things they can’t experience by living in urban cities.
