The Foundry Project

The Foundry Project
Local group Creative Regions are responsible for the production of this project named “The Foundry”. The Foundry Project is part of a 3-year initiative funded through the Regional Writing Program of the Queensland Government, and the Australia Council for the Arts. The program was designed to trial projects that offered community, culture, and commerce through the use of arts and technology.
The focus of the project was to develop creative marketing tools for the food producing sector within Bundaberg. Creative Regions worked with key organisations such as the Bundaberg Chamber of Commerce and Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers to achieve this.
They partnered with local businesses, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, Mammino Gourmet Ice Cream, Mango Paradise, Forbidden Figs, and Steinhardt Family Farms to produce professional films about these local food production families. Shelley Pisani from Creative Regions produced the project with a team, who highlighted the innovation and breadth of the food production industry within our region.
The films range in length from 2 1/2 to 8 minutes. My favourites are the Mammio, Mango Paradise, and the Steinhardt Family Farms. It was really great to get to know the stories behind these local families and just how innovative and successful they each are in their own rights……..a good watch.
You can view each of the films via the Creative Regions Website
