U-BEACH Community Beach Day is an accessible beach day event with beach mat, wheelchairs and walkers available for children, youth and adults.
This year they have even more equipment – including new equipment specifically for children and a range of equipment to support beach walking (adapted walkers, crutches, and sticks).
U-Beach will support everyone to enjoy the beach with assistance for wheelchair transfers (including hoist), mobility and participation in beach activities. Beach activities will include walking/wheeling, swimming, kites, cricket, sand games and sandcastles. There will also be a free sausage sizzle provided by Rotary Bundaberg.
This event is delivered by the U-BEACH team led by CQUniversity Physiotherapy in partnership with Health and Wellbeing Qld and Rotary Bundaberg. Special thanks also to Accessible Beaches Australia and the Bundaberg Surf Lifesaving Club.
No registration is required, however please register your interest in attending to help plan activities and catering.
