Whether you feel like you have your finances well underway, you’re starting again, life has thrown you a curveball, or you simply want to better understand your options, Women’s Wealth Pathways is about giving you practical information you can actually use.
Places are strictly limited to 20 participants to keep the day practical, conversational and interactive.
About Women’s Wealth Pathways
Wide Bay Kids is excited to have secured funding through the Queensland Government’s Empowering Queensland Women Grants Program to deliver Women’s Wealth Pathways, a new initiative supporting women to build financial confidence, strengthen their economic security and connect with other women in the Bundaberg region.
We’ve partnered with local experts in their fields to bring you practical, relevant and up-to-date information, helping you better understand your options and make informed decisions about your financial future.
You don’t need to be a financial expert and you don’t need to have lots of money to attend. The day is about meeting you where you are now and helping you think about where you want to go next.
What Will We Cover?
Following feedback from local women, Women’s Wealth Pathways will focus on three key areas:
Money Now – Getting the Foundations Right
Budgeting, managing debt, understanding cash flow and building greater confidence with your everyday money.
Money Later – Building Your Financial Future
Superannuation, investing, retirement planning and understanding the steps you can take now to create greater financial security for the future.
Money Changes – Navigating Life’s Financial Turning Points
Understanding your financial options when life changes unexpectedly or significantly, including separation or divorce, receiving an inheritance, losing or changing your income, and other major transitions.
More Than Just Financial Information
Women’s Wealth Pathways won’t be a day of sitting through back-to-back financial lectures.
The financial sessions will be supported by interactive activities, reflection and facilitated conversations to help you connect what you’re learning with your own circumstances, identify what matters most to you and leave with practical next steps.
The program aims to help women:
- increase their financial literacy and confidence
- better understand their current financial position
- understand superannuation, investing and longer-term financial planning
- feel more prepared for financial changes and major life transitions
- identify practical actions they can take towards their own financial goals
- strengthen social connection and peer support.
Participants will also receive practical resources to help put their learning into action beyond the day.
Why Only 20 Women?
We want Women’s Wealth Pathways to be a space where women feel comfortable participating, asking questions and having real conversations about money.
That’s why we’re intentionally limiting the event to 20 participants.
Keeping the group small allows us to make the day more practical and interactive, with greater opportunity to ask questions, engage with our presenters and facilitators, and connect with other women.

What is Women’s Wealth Pathways?
Women’s Wealth Pathways is about more than money. It’s about giving women the tools, knowledge and support to feel confident managing their finances, planning ahead and exploring opportunities that improve their financial wellbeing. The program aims to:
• Increase financial literacy and confidence to manage money and make informed financial decisions.
• Improve understanding of superannuation, investing and long-term wealth-building strategies.
• Increase awareness of employment, business and income-generating opportunities.
• Strengthen social connection and peer support networks.
Participants will receive a practical financial workbook and action plan to help put their learning into practice, along with the opportunity to attend a follow-up accountability session. To make the program as accessible as possible travel support with in-person and online participation options available.

Rather than deciding the workshop topics for you, we’re inviting women from across the Bundaberg region to tell us what they would find most valuable.

We’re also looking to showcase the incredible knowledge and experience that already exists in our community. If you’re an experienced local professional with expertise in areas such as financial literacy, budgeting, superannuation, investing, employment, small business, or wealth creation, we’d love to hear from you. We’re seeking guest speakers and workshop facilitators who are passionate about sharing practical, accessible advice that empowers women to achieve greater financial confidence.
