Alexandra Park Zoo Spring Holiday Program

Alexandra Park Zoo Spring Holiday Program is bringing a special program of free Keeper Talks to Bundaberg during the September school holidays. The sessions are designed for curious kids, animal lovers and anyone who would like to learn more about the animals and species that call Alexandra Park Zoo home. Across the school holidays, visitors can enjoy an expanded program of talks covering a range of different animals. Each session focuses on a different species, giving visitors the chance to hear interesting facts and stories from the zoo’s dedicated keepers while gaining a closer look at the animals and their daily routines.
The Keeper Talks are a great opportunity for children and families to learn more about the animals in a relaxed and engaging setting. Sessions will include fascinating information about different species, behind-the-scenes insights and opportunities for visitors to ask questions and learn directly from the people who care for the animals. The program runs across several days throughout the school holidays, with talks scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 19 September to 4 October 2026. Specific talk times and the featured animals vary, so visitors are encouraged to check the zoo’s talk flyer and website before visiting to plan their day.
The program is suitable for all ages and is free, with no bookings necessary. Families can simply check the available sessions and attend the talks that interest them. Whether your child is fascinated by animals, loves asking questions or simply enjoys learning something new, the Keeper Talks provide an easy way to add an educational experience to a school holiday outing.
