Free Playgroup at Boreham Park

Looking for a fun and engaging way to support your child’s development through play? Families with young children are invited to join a free occupational therapy playgroup at Boreham Park.
Facilitated by CQUniversity Australia Bundaberg Occupational Therapy students, the playgroup is designed for children aged 0–5 years and their families. The sessions use play-based activities to explore important areas of childhood development in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Running over 10 weeks, the program will focus on a range of topics that support children as they learn, move, interact and explore the world around them. Families can expect activities based around fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation and social interaction.
Play is an important part of early childhood, giving children opportunities to practise new skills while having fun. The sessions are designed to make these experiences engaging and accessible for young children, while also giving parents and carers the opportunity to learn more about different areas of their child’s development.
The playgroup is a chance for families to get out, connect with others and enjoy structured activities in an outdoor community setting. With a different focus throughout the program, children can explore movement, sensory activities and social play while spending time with other local families.
The program runs every Thursday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, from 13 August until 15 October, 2026.
Families interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP via email. For those who would like more information or have questions about the program, the organising team can also be contacted by phone.
