THE PLACE TO BE FOR DAZZLING NYE ENTERTAINMENT
Anzac Park will come alive with a fiesta of music, colour, food and fireworks for another explosive New Year’s Eve Spectacular by the banks of the Burnett River – and everyone’s invited!
Mayor Jack Dempsey said the 2016 Auswide Bank and Harvey Norman New Year’s Eve Spectacular would include two brilliant fireworks displays, as well as a Bundy’s Got Talent competition.
“I’m really excited about this year’s entertainment for New Year’s Eve. It will be nothing short of spectacular. As well as stalls, rides and plenty of food, Hitz939 and Bundy Live are organising a Bundy’s Got Talent competition, offering a wonderful opportunity to show off our local musicians, singers and artists,” Mayor Dempsey said.
The winners of last year’s Battle of the Bands competition held in conjunction with the 2015 NYE Spectacular at Anzac Park said their band – Stone Rose Redemption – had received incredible exposure and business, which it may not have without the opportunity to perform as part of NYE celebrations.
“Events like the NYE Spectacular and associated talent competitions offer amazing opportunities and exposure to local artists. We have been booked for gigs most weekends since last year’s Hitz 939 Bundy Live Battle of the Bands competition due to the kudos that came with winning,” Stone Rose Redemption guitarist, Jason Weller said.
Local bands and musicians are invited to register to participate in the Hitz 939 Bundy Live Talent competition.
