Australia Day Foods Surfing Kolas
This year I really got into the Australia Day foods idea and made these super cute surfing koalas. The kids can’t wait to tuck into them today!
They’re so easy to make, no cooking experience needed.
What you need
Caramello Koala’s
1 x box of jelly per 3 koala’s (I used berry blue)
Plastic cups
Australia Day Flag toothpicks
What you do
- Make up the jelly according to the packet instructions. For small cups you will need 1 box of jelly per koala.
- Place your cups on a tray and pour jelly into them.
- Refridgerate and let set (about 3 hours).
- Once set use a knife to cut a section for the koala to fit into.
- Insert koala and toothpick.
- EAT.
I also made some green and gold ones I thought these could represent a koala in a muddy creek bed! Do the same as above making one colour at a time and waiting for it to set before adding the next colour.
