Bamboo Land Nursery and Parklands Torbanlea is a beautiful place to explore with kids. It’s tucked away just off the Bruce Highway near Maryborough and includes a series of well-maintained gardens, tracks and boardwalks as well as lots of local and not so local wildlife.

Bamboo Land is a 10 acre property and is located on the Burrum River, which gives the the gardens an almost 'oasis like' feel. There are lots of great picnic spots around the grounds to enjoy including picnic tables along the river.

Exploring the gardens is super fun, kids will love running through the maze of tracks and maybe even wrestle the monster python!

The display gardens are so pretty to walk through and experience. We could easily have spent a couple of hours exploring them! 

As you make your way around the gardens you will find lots of hidden treasures! Very large visitors live within the grounds. We spotted lots of different species, how many will you find?

There are may species of bamboo, ginger and heliconias growing throughout the grounds. You will find a variety of Bamboo species all at different stages of growth.  There are signs telling you the name of each plant and the year they were planted.

The walking tracks consist of hard pressed dirt or grass, are well maintained and flat and suitable for prams with pump up tyres.

Nursery, parklands including walking tracks, boardwalk, lots of native animals and not so nature to spot. It’s a really nice place for a walk and to get the kids out of the house and thinking about nature. Toilets on site too.

There is a small cafe and gift shop on site as well. Word of warning though, you won't be able to leave without buying one of their beautiful plants!
