Be a Proud Host – Join the Bundaberg Region Welcomes You Program
The Bundaberg Region Welcomes You Program is a free online learning opportunity for anyone who wants to help make our region shine for visitors. Whether you're a parent or someone who just loves Bundy this program is for you.
The five short online modules will take around 1.5 hours and are designed to grow your local knowledge, boost your confidence, and help you become a proud community ambassador. You'll learn practical tips for sharing the best of Bundaberg with others, from how to create a warm welcome to how to share stories about our beautiful region and its rich cultures.
What you’ll learn: How to be welcoming and inclusive to all, how to tell stories that celebrate our regionInsights into Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and local sustainability values what makes Bundaberg unique for visitors
It's all about helping you feel confident sharing what you love about our region whether you're chatting with someone new at the park, helping out at an event, or recommending local spots to family and friends.
It’s free, It’s online, and you’ll get a certificate at the end. You’ll be recognised as a local host and ambassador
This is a great way for families, school groups, community volunteers, and local champions to feel even more connected to Bundaberg. The more proud hosts we have, the better the experience is for everyone, locals and visitors alike.
The Bundaberg Region Welcomes You Program is available year-round and offers free training until November 2026. The program aims to strengthen community connections and grow a network of regional ambassadors. Register online here to get involved.
