Winter School Holiday Program 2025 Bundaberg Regional Libraries
Bundaberg Regional Libraries are offering an amazing line-up of free activities for kids these winter school holidays. Running from 30 June to 11 July 2025, events will be held at Bundaberg, Childers, Gin Gin, and Woodgate branches with something fun and creative every day.
All activities are free. Some may require parent supervision for younger children.
Bookings
Bookings for sessions are essential (unless otherwise stated) and are open two weeks prior to the session date. Book with your local library.

📍 Bundaberg Library
- Board Games and Lego Fun – 30 June & 7 July, 9:30am–11:30am, all ages
Drop into Bundaberg Library anytime between 9.30am and 11.30am to have fun at your own pace with our selection of board games or build with Lego. Bookings not required. - Snowy Tree Art – 1 July, 10am–10:30am, all ages
Using paper and other craft items create a snowy tree scene on A4 paper. - Ripped Paper Snowman – 2 July, 10am–10:30am, all ages
Have fun ripping and gluing paper to create a textured snowman. This snowman is very cute when finished. - Paper Roll Wind Sock – 4 July, 10am–10:30am, all ages
Using a paper roll and other craft items create a wind sock that will dance in the winter winds. - Get Crafty – 8–11 July, 9:30am–12pm, all ages
- Visit the craft table near the front counter for themed crafting. This session is self-paced and self-guided. Bookings not required.

Self guided craft activity let imagination help create a masterpiece with the craft items provided. Bookings not required. - Buxton Foreshore Park Teddy Bear’s Picnic – 3 July, 10am–11:30am, all ages
Bring your Teddy Bear for a morning of fun at Buxton Foreshore Park. Bookings not required. - Placemat Creation – 7 July, 10am–11am, all ages
Decorate your very own colourful placemat. Bookings required. - Family Fun Movie – 9 July, 10am–11:30am, all ages
Chillout at the Childers Library with a family movie. Bookings required. - Nintendo Switch, iPads & Board Games – Available all holidays, all ages
Drop in any time to play games and use digital devices.

- Paper Plate Snowman Skier – 30 June, 10am–11am, all ages
Make a cute little snowman and you can make him move across the snow! Bookings required. - Woven Heart – 3 July, 10am–11am, 5yrs+
Learn simple weaving and create a beautiful woollen heart. Bookings required. - Box Creation – 7 July, 10am–11am, all ages
Let your imagination go wild and build a creation using boxes and other recycled materials. Bookings required. - Bead Jewellery – 8 July, 2pm–3pm, 7yrs+
Make a keyring, bag tag or bracelet with beads. You can even add your name or a message. Bookings required. - Craft Station – 7–11 July, all day, all ages
Have fun creating at the DIY craft station at your own pace. Bookings not required. - Reading Hunt – Available all holidays, all ages
Have fun exploring Gin Gin. Find 6 little signs at 9 different locations and enjoy simple activities to improve early literacy skills. Reading Hunt map available artsbundaberg.com.au/libraries/reading-hunt-map - Child and Family Support NAIDOC Week Activity – 9 July, 9:30am–11:30am,

- Scavenger Hunt and Games – 2 & 9 July, 10am–2pm, all ages
Children and teens are invited to drop into Woodgate Library to take part in fun activities at their own pace. Complete the special Scavenger Hunt and receive a prize, borrow a board game to play at home or pick up a few fun activity sheets to complete while on holidays.
