Beyond Boundaries Workshop Series Announces Local Creatives Leading Workshops
Beyond Boundaries, the innovative workshop series aimed at empowering young individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, is thrilled to announce the talented local creatives who will be leading the upcoming workshops.
The series, which focuses on exploring queer narratives, will feature workshops led by three local artists, each bringing a unique perspective and skill set to the table.
Character Creation Illustration with Bec
Unleash your creativity and bring your unique characters to life with Bec, also known as Bexylum Art. In this workshop, participants will learn the art of character illustration, guided by the expertise of manga artist Bexylum Art. Discover the secrets behind crafting compelling protagonists that reflect your own narrative.
Day in the Life with Sarah Tump
Join local storyteller Sarah Tump on a journey of self-expression as you create a "Day in the Life" that celebrates your authentic self. Through vision boards and short-form videos, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their individual stories under the expert guidance of Sarah Tump.
Creative Writing with Selena Silcox
Unlock the power of storytelling with local author Selena Silcox. In this workshop, participants will delve into the art of creative writing, from generating story ideas to developing compelling narratives. Let Selena Silcox mentor you as you transform your story ideas into fully realized works of art.

The Beyond Boundaries workshop series is made possible thanks to the support of Wide Bay Kids Community Inc, which received a grant from The Social Shift, funded by the Department of Social Services Local Services Plans – Community-Led Support Fund.

Workshops will be held throughout May and June, culminating in a public exhibition to celebrate Pride Month.
