Driving Towards Safety: KiSS Hosts Free Child Car Seat Safety Checks and Installations in Childers
[KiS5] Kids in Safe Seats, has announced a special event scheduled for Thursday morning, May 1st in Childers.
The program will conduct free child car seat safety checks and installations, providing parents and carers with peace of mind regarding the safety of their little ones on the road.
Since its launch in Bundaberg on March 6th, 2024, KiSS has been dedicated to ensuring the safety of children in vehicles by offering expert car seat fittings and hires. Now, the program is extending its services to Childers , offering the same professional expertise and support to parents and carers in the area.
"Ensuring the safety of children in vehicles is our top priority," said Angela Twyford, co-founder of Wide Bay Kids and KiSS.
"Expanding our services to Childers allows us to reach even more families and provide them with the expert advice and support they need to properly install and adjust car seats for maximum safety."
The KiSS program will conduct free child car seat safety checks and installations for all residents of Childers on Thursday morning, May 2nd, 2024. Trained professionals will be on hand to assess and properly install child car seats, ensuring they meet Australian standards and provide optimal protection for children.
"We understand the importance of complying with legal requirements and ensuring the best possible protection for children while travelling," added Ms Twyford. "That's why we're excited to bring our services to Childers and offer free safety checks and installations to local families."
The KiSS program is made possible through the Social Shift program, funded by the Department of Social Services Local Services Plans - Community-Led Support Fund. This initiative allows KiSS to offer free car seat installations to residents of the Hinkler region until June 30th, 2024.
