Now down to the practical stuff:
There is going to be between 7,500 and 8,000 people attending this event………..it is going to take longer to get there and find a park than it does for regular weekend footy games. Gates will open at 12 noon and I encourage anyone going to be prepared for extra traffic and to leave home early. It should not be as bad as what was experienced with the Monster Trucks event last year as there is more than one road in…….but still something to keep in mind.

There will be no onsite parking available at Salter Oval. Bundaberg Rugby League has engaged the assistance of local bus companies to do pick up and drop offs.

Weather
If the weather is fine make sure you are sun smart. Many attending before the main game will be exposed to the full afternoon sun. Everyone is encouraged to bring along hats, sunscreen and to wear appropriate clothing.
If it rains you won’t melt! A little rain won’t hurt you, but a flying brolly can! Do not bring UMBRELLAS, instead bring a stylish poncho, a towel to sit on and a tarp if you have one!
If you have standing tickets
The entire grounds are flat. For this reason, there are minimum standing only tickets in various areas around the stadium to ensure over crowding will not be an issue. While the games are on you will have to remain standing to watch. The organisers have taken great care to ensure that the amount of space people have in these areas will give you as much visual opportunity as possible. You will be free to roam around to the food venues/bars etc so you may be able to have a bit of a sit down there in between games.
I hope everyone attending has a great time and don’t forget to be sun safe. If you would like to know anything else about attending the Bundaberg NRL Trial game let us know in the comments below and we will see what we can find out for you.
