Christmas Salt Dough Ornaments
Our Wide Bay Kids and I made these at Christmas salt dough ornaments at home this past weekend. I just love them and they are so easy to make. Our kids 3,6, and 8 had a great time creating Christmas shapes, they are so proud of them. Here is the recipe I used:
What you need:
1.5 cups plain flour
0.5 cups table salt
1 tbs vegeable oil
2/3 cup chilled water
Rolling pin
Christmas shape cutters
Paint
Glitter
Ribbon
What to do:
Mix dry ingredients, add oil. Stir in chilled water to form dough. May not need all of the water. Flour table top and roll out to flat. Cut out Christmas shapes using cookie cutters. Bake 100 d for 2.5 to 3 hours. Note: you are not cooking the ornaments. You are drying them out. You may need to turn half way through baking. Once cooled paint, decorate and attach ribbon!
I hope you love your's as much as we love ours.
