Egg Hunt and Walking Tour Maps
Print and online maps are now available
- Print copies have been delivered to schools and childcare centres in the Bundaberg region (inside our Bundaberg School Holiday Pocket Guide).
- Print copies are also available at the brochure stand located inside Cafe 1928, at the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens.

Easter in the Gardens Family Fun Day is a new event added to the 2024 program.
Being held on Friday, 12 April visitors can expect to participate in art experiences, listen to storytelling and poetry readings as well live roaming entertainment. Walk the Egg Hunt Trail with the artists who painted the eggs and meet the businesses who sponsored the event!

Walking Tour: 17 March - 14 April 2024
Where: Bundaberg Botanic Gardens, Mt Perry Road, North Bundaberg
Pick up or download a map and hunt for hidden Easter bunnies and GIANT Easter eggs. You will be searching high and low, far and wide to find all the larger-than-life GIANT eggs.
Easter in the Gardens is free, fun and inclusive of everyone. It’s the ultimate GIANT Easter Egg Hunt!
Explorers of all ages can follow the trail of eggs, featuring artwork designed by local artists, community groups and school children. There are games to play and puzzles to solve along the way and once the trail is complete, place your map into the entry box at the Gardens to go into the draw to win weekly prizes! Ts&Cs apply.

Driving Tour: 17 March - 14 April 2024
Where: Various locations across Bundaberg (including Childers and Gin Gin).
Access your driving tour map online here and take a road trip across the Bundaberg region hunting for GIANT Easter themed installations.
Easter in the Gardens Driving Tour is a new event added to the 2024 program and encourages families to take a drive across the Bundaberg region, visiting destinations and spending time in these locations.

Also new this year is our Community Bus Tour. If you don't have your own transport or just want to experience the driving tour as part of a group, jump on our community bus tour and get behind the scenes access to each of the driving tour locations. When you participate in Easter in the Gardens 2024 you will have the chance to win prizes!
Egg Hunt: Using the hunt map locate all GIANT eggs. On the map entry form record your answers to the clues found at each egg. Include your name, contact information and event info and drop the entry form into the box located inside Cafe 1928 at the Botanic Gardens (or submit your entry online here). All correct entries submitted will be in the running to win a prize. A winners will be drawn at the conclusion of the event (14 April) and contacted to collect their prize. There will be 1 Egg Hunt winner in total.
Golden Egg Hunt: Six specialty marked 'Golden Eggs' will be hidden at the Gardens on Friday, 12 April (during the Family Fun Day). Find one of these eggs and follow the instructions printed inside the egg to claim your prize! There will be six Golden Egg Hunt winners in total.
People's Choice Awards: Vote for your favourite GIANT designs and you will go in the draw to win a prize! Entries for the People's Choice Awards can only be made online here by choosing your favourite design, adding your name, contact and event information. One vote per person. A winner will be drawn at the conclusion of the event and contacted to collect their prize. Links to vote for your favourite design will be found on signage next to each design. There will be two People's Choice Award winners in total (one for egg designs and one for easter installation designs).
Golden Eggs will be hidden at the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens on the Family Fun Day for you to find! The Family Fun Day will be held on Friday, 12 April 2024.
If you are the lucky ones to find the special GOLDEN EGGS, return it to the staff at the Wide Bay Kids activity and you will win a chocolate Easter bunny!

Each GIANT Egg will have a sign located near it. The sign will have games for you to play while admiring the Egg. Simon Says, Hop Scotch and a Sing-a-long are just a few of the games.
Each GIANT Egg sign will also have a puzzle/question/clue for you to answer and record on the map entry form. Drop the entry form into the box located inside Cafe 1928 at the Botanic Gardens enter online here, for your chance to win a prize.
Easter in the Gardens Walking Tour is a self-guided activity. Scan QR Codes along the trail for an audio described experience!
The GIANT Eggs and Easter Installations will remain permanently on display from 17 March to 14 April 2024. 30 wonderous days of magic!
GIANT Eggs: You can visit the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens 7 days a week, 5:30am to 6:45pm. If you visit the gardens and it is too busy, come back another day during the above dates.
Easter Installations: Explore any of the self-drive tour locations at your convenience (preferably during daylight hours for optimal viewing of installations!). All installations are positioned on the exterior of each location. You're not bound to regular business hours for your visit.
