Play and Creative Therapy Bundaberg A Holistic Neuro-affirming Approach
Play & Creative Therapy Bundaberg, use a holistic neuro-affirming approach based on the preferences, needs, and strengths of each child and young person so they can reach their full potential. There is no one-size fits all approach. This is why Play 7 Creative Therapy Bundaberg provide a comprehensive range of services designed to support the diverse needs of individuals and families including:
Play Therapy
Children don’t often respond to counselling methods that work for adults. They process and communicate their inner world differently. Child-Centred Play Therapy is a specialised and age-appropriate counselling approach designed to help children aged 3 to 12 years express their experiences, overcome challenges and develop essential life skills through their natural form of language - PLAY.
AutPlay®️ Therapy
AutPlay®️ Therapy is an integrated and family therapy framework informed by the neurodiversity paradigm. It was designed to support children and young individuals aged 3-18 years who are autistic or neurodivergent, including those with developmental or physical disabilities.
Filial Family Therapy
Filial Family Therapy is a psychoeducational intervention that recognises parents as the core agents of change and aims to teach therapeutic skills and principles that supports stronger communication and connection through the therapeutic powers of play. Parent and caregivers learn basic play therapy techniques so they can transfer and use these techniques with their own children at home.
Creative Counselling
Creative Counselling is an adaptation of play therapy, uniquely combining talk therapies with powerful creative-expressive arts mediums to help teenagers and young people express themselves, gain insight, and navigate their challenges with confidence.
Youth Holistic Counselling
Person-centered holistic counselling supports teenagers in managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, big emotions and unhelpful thoughts. Embracing each unique individual beyond their diagnosis or labels, we provide a safe, supportive environment for teenagers to actively participate in their healing journey tailored to their needs and learning style.
Neurologic Music Therapy Services
Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) is an evidence-based treatment model that harnesses the transformative power of music to stimulate brain areas and improve non-musical functions such as speech, physical movement, cognition and other functional abilities.
Music can be used to help build new connections in the brain (called neuropathways) thus improving brain function and allowing one to lead a more productive and functional life.
Parent and Family Support
Strong and supportive parenting plays a vital role in a child's well-being and development. We focus on fostering loving attachments between parents and children and harness the power of relationships within the family unit to navigate and heal from mental health challenges. We further introduce and build upon concepts of brain
science, providing valuable insights into the neuroscience of the child’s nervous system and how they experience the world around them.
Neurokinect - COMING SOON!
Neurokinect is a small support group program that helps neurodivergent children and young people build friendships and connections with their fellow neurokin.
